Working Hours: Normal office hours are 10:00 to 18:00, Tuesday – Saturday
Place of Work: NYC Studios, 37 – 12 35th St, Long Island City, NY 11101
Work Status: Seasonal Contractor
Contracted Dates: 8/4/26 – 11/21/26 (15 weeks working + 1 week off in October, dates tbd)
Pay Rate: $1,200/week (15 weeks of work, $18,000 total)

JOB SUMMARY
RWS Global is seeking an experienced and musically knowledgeable Show Supervisor to support the preparation, rehearsal, and successful deployment of our live music talent. Reporting to the Creative Production Manager, Live Music, this role serves as a key liaison between performers, creative teams and production staff throughout the onboarding and rehearsal process.
The Show Supervisor will lead and facilitate in-studio rehearsals for musicians and vocalists while also conducting virtual orientation and preparation sessions for performers joining ships directly without an in-house rehearsal period. This individual will ensure performers are artistically prepared, operationally informed and equipped with the tools and resources necessary for success onboard.
As a trusted representative of the Live Music team, the Show Supervisor will provide consistent guidance, support, and problem solving throughout the rehearsal and pre-deployment process. While the role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, the primary duties include:

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in music direction, musician casting, or live music production
• Strong music direction experience with high-level sight-reading ability
• Deep understanding of instrumental techniques and talent evaluation
• Experience working across cruise, theme park, or large-scale live entertainment environments preferred
• Knowledge of national and international audition markets beyond NYC/LA
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
• Resourceful, proactive, and solutions-oriented
• Proficiency in Mac OS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
• Experience with DAWs (Logic Pro, Ableton, QLab)
• Proficiency in music notation software (Sibelius, MuseScore)
• Working knowledge of AV systems, including Behringer X32 and Wing
• Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally

Rehearsal & Performance Oversight
- Lead and oversee in-house rehearsals, sound checks, Presentation Sets and virtual review sessions.
- Maintain a consistent presence in rehearsals, providing musical coaching, guidance and real-time support to performers and musical staff.
- Supervise and support coaching personnel to ensure rehearsal objectives and performance standards are achieved.
- Ensure performer attendance, preparedness and active participation throughout the rehearsal and evaluation process.
- Complete and distribute rehearsal reports, performance assessments, and other required documentation.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for performers throughout the rehearsal and onboarding process.
- Provide objective feedback and performance evaluations, supporting Performance Improvement Plans (PIPS) when necessary.
- Identify and escalate performer concerns, operational issues and performance trends to leadership.
- Monitor voyage reports, surveys and performer feedback to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Create, maintain and communicate rehearsal schedules and related logistical plans.
- Coordinate performer onboarding activities, including wardrobe fittings, medical appointments and pre-deployment requirements.
- Develop and distribute band contact sheets and other performer resources.
- Communicate schedule changes, operational updates and critical information to performers and stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Oversee the readiness, maintenance, inventory and organization of rehearsal technology, musical instruments, backline equipment and related assets.
- Manage the distribution and tracking of rehearsal equipment, including iPads, AirTurn devices and accessories.
- Ensure equipment is maintained, changed and available to support rehearsal and performance needs.
- Serve as a point of escalation for technical and equipment related challenges.
- Attend Company Connection calls, departmental meetings, and cross-functional planning sessions as required.
- Provide regular updates, observations and recommendations to the Creative Production Manager, Live Music.
- Support Ship Visits, audits and onboard operational initiatives as needed.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
