RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Specialist, Application Strategy & Support to assist our team in the identification and resolution of application and digital systems related issues. This position will also be responsible for the development of a technology utilization strategy for existing and future applications to advance the practical use of technology across our teams - finding opportunity for global integration, innovation, and efficiency.

Reporting to the AVP, Global Integration and Training, the Specialist, Application Strategy & Support serves as a technical expert for the development, implementation, management, and support of applications, systems, and networks. They execute complex assignments and develop new methods and approaches across a wide variety of applications, while also troubleshooting and providing real-time technical assistance as needed to the greater RWS team.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

Role & Responsibilities 

  • Provide expert support to leadership and team members in the identification and resolution of application related issues.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Lead all efforts as it pertains to technical incident resolutions and provide advice on tactical and strategic solutions to further improve internal systems.
  • Deliver an exceptional level of application support to all team members and assist with technical system and/or development as needed. 
  • Identify areas where technology/applications could provide ROI while simultaneously finding solutions to existing workflow challenges and pain points.
  • Partner with external service providers and application suppliers as needed.
  • Provide effective written and verbal communication to leadership and team members throughout the resolution process.
  • Provide (Wrike) related request and blueprint creation & programming.
  • This position requires strong troubleshooting, analytic and diagnostic skills, along with solid communication skills. 
  • Limited travel may be required.

Required Qualifications 

  • College degree in the field of computer science or information systems and 5+ years related work experience.
  • Experience/involvement with new system implementation considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in IT strategic planning and development, project management, IT budgeting and policy development. 
  • Previous experience utilizing various platforms and software (Wrike, SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, Teams etc.) 
  • Entertainment Industry and/or Production Management knowledge is preferred.
  • End user support experience, preferably within the entertainment/production industry.
  • Excellent communication/written skills, and the ability to understand technical issues and articulate industry operational/technical solutions.
