Wardrobe Supervisor Summer Opportunity
What’s expected…
Actively participate in the setup of all wardrobe equipment, dressing rooms and costumes pertaining to the wardrobe department and other equipment assigned to the department during the instillation period
Responsible for repairing and maintaining all costumes related to the Wardrobe Department as directed by supervisors.
Responsible for show laundry needs.
Will attend any rehearsals or put ins as needed for new performers.
Assist in the choreography of quick changes as well as helping with changes during the runs of shows.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of show related paperwork, i.e. tracking sheets, dressing sheets, laundry check in/out sheets, performer repair request sheets, as needed
Weekly check in’s with Land Ops Manager.
Performs additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
What you bring…
Related experience, or combination of training and/or education in Wardrobe as it relates to live performances.
Basic understanding of theatrical terms and directions.
Ability to understand instructions in oral, written and diagram form in order to apply common sense to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Recognized as a proven team player with creative problem solving and strong trouble shooting capabilities.
Knowledge of sewing machines, their uses and different applications.
Ability to hand sew.
Understanding of fabrics and specific laundry and dry-cleaning needs of each specific fabric type.
Experience as a dresser in backstage settings as it relates to a live performance
Ability to lift over 50lbs, stand for 2 hours and operate small hand tools.
Position Details:
- On-site: Medora, ND
- Duration: 19 weeks (exact start date is TBD, likely May or June, continuing until the first week of September)
- Rate: $1,100 per week
- Travel and accommodations provided.
