JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Sea Operations, the Shoreside Entertainment Production Manager – Cruise Operations leads the production and project management of RWS-produced onboard entertainment products for our cruise line clients. The Shoreside Entertainment Production Manager – Cruise Operations is responsible for supporting the Creative, Casting, and Production teams in ensuring a high standard of client delivery across all assigned clients and products. This position is also responsible for upholding the RWS and client brand standards and supporting the continued innovation and operational efficiency of client rehearsal and install operations.

KEY TASKS

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive production and project management for mainstage vocal, dance, and multi-venue musical entertainment, including oversight of workflows, studio operations, materials and transportation logistics, and talent onboarding.
  • Serve as the primary production liaison for the onboard team, maintaining consistent communication with onboard leadership and facilitating monthly check-in calls with talent.
  • Oversee production logistics, including scheduling of rehearsals, onboarding appointments, required documentation, and wardrobe fittings.
  • Review rehearsal and onboard reports, identifying and implementing appropriate solutions as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate travel and installation logistics for both talent and production teams.
  • Manage changeover budgets with a focus on cost efficiency and resource optimization.
  • Lead or support all assigned in-studio and onboard production changeovers; collaborate with the Studio Operations team on tape-outs, set-ups, and other related tasks as required.
  • Support shipboard installations both remotely and on site, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Maintain accurate and current production documentation, including regular updates and file management.
  • Manage or delegate daily production operations while providing administrative support to Creative, Casting, and Production teams.
  • Organize and facilitate talent welcome sessions, travel briefings, and other informational meetings.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all assigned productions and experiences.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies and procedures across all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build and sustain effective professional relationships with vendors, colleagues, and clients.
  • Travel as needed to support shipboard installations, quality assurance activities, and overall operational execution.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • BFA/BA degree in Theatrical Production, Musical Production, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the entertainment industry, working in theatre, performance venues, or live entertainment settings; specific experience on cruise ships preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in a management position, preferably within an entertainment setting
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including strong cross-functional collaboration abilities
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook; familiarity with Wrike or other project management software is a plus
  • Flexible schedule allowing for up to 35% travel (international and domestic) and occasional work during non-standard hours (including weekends and holidays)
  • Passion for live entertainment, operational excellence, and collaborative teamwork
  • Highly self-motivated and organized, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Theatrical administration experience (e.g., stage management, production management, general management)
  • Experience with cruise ship and/or theme park entertainment preferred
  • Valid passport required for the duration of employment for all travel-related roles
